Today is annual Buzzard Day. It celebrates the turkey vulture's migratory return to this area after the winter season. I feel that this is indeed appropriate since I noticed how many of these things are living in my back yard and took this picture today, before finding out that this holiday even existed.
A few months ago, I was minding my own business working in my office. I looked up to see the creepiest hairy/leggy/tentacle-having bug scurrying up the wall behind my monitors. I frantically squashed it with a pad of post-it notes, and it totally exploded like Rorschach in the Watchmen (movie). Grossed out ever since, I haven’t worked up the nerve to touch it much less clean it off. I see it every day whenever I look above my monitors.
Nicole and I drove around and shot point and shoot cameras with expired film today. I used my thrift store find from yesterday and Nicole used the bright pink camera she's had since she was five.
Also, I went to a carwash to clean up after the getting-stuck-in-mud adventure. Found this little something at junkiest bazaar ever. Then drove around until it was dark.
