Steve's for (vegetarian) cheesesteaks and Rita's for water ice on South street. This scooter rally reminded me that I want a Vespa.

Shopping at the giant four floor flagship of Nicole's favorite store. I was more focused on local tags.

Then back to South street for dinner at Horizons, the best all vegetarian restaurant I've ever eaten at. The food was so good I was too busy eating it to take pictures of anything, but I did take a picture of Eric's boot drink.

Woke up and went to Zern's flea market outside of Philadelphia. Beyond the standard flea market awesome, we found candy, corndogs, cameras, and cheap thrills. She was there, he was there, and they had some Pez.

Then it was downtown for (amazing) dinner at one of Tiffany and Eric's favorite spots. Then gelato on the street for a pretty perfect night.

After work, we spent the evening on the highway headed out to Philadelphia Pennsylvania, just the two of us. Roadtrip symmetry. We journeyed through tunnels and toll booths.

We finally reached our destination and Nicole got her very first look at baby Lily. Then they chatted and caught up over drinks.

Lunch and a fine art experience (these paintings encircle the perimeter of the restaurant).

I finished my film.

Flowers.
Farm.
Where I get my film developed.

Then Nicole made a blog worthy dinner.

Recently I was gifted a bunch of fancy slide film that I've been really excited to try shooting and cross processing. This film is like a rare delicacy compaired to the cheap expired stuff I bought in bulk a while ago, so I was really excited to load some Elite Chrome 160T and take pictures of weird colorful stuff like this. I then went out of town to hangout with friends. I don't really know what to say about this.

I feel like I'm always on the highway between various cities.

We went to the park, found wild berries, pretty but broken cameras at antique stores (twice), and got cup cakes from a Food Network featured place.

This may look like a very important and serious business meeting, but really it's a kick ball game strategy session. My company was invited to the Indians' stadium to play kick ball on their field for a charity event. We got to do stupid stuff in the actual dugout the player sit in. We also went exploring in the stadium and found where where the players pee during games. Our team even progressed far enough to play the kid that started the charity organization's team. We didn't actually win the tournament, but this is my blog so I can pretend we did.

The after party felt very much like a fraternity, followed by even more drinks at another bar and a very dynamic walk back to the car.

I took some co-workers to a lunch truck to meet up with my friend Chuck for...um...lunch. One of my friends painted the side of the truck a while ago, so I had heard about it before but hadn't tracked it down to try it until today. They have some interesting things on the menu like tofu tacos and vegetarian push-up pop sushi (above).

Tonight we went to The Happy Dog. I'm calling it now, this is the next big deal, Food Network, everyone has to go there place in the area. The setup is mostly hot dogs, but they give you a huge list of fancy gourmet toppings (all made in house) and you can pick as many as you want. They often have live music on the stage, but we were totally supprised that the "band" playing tonight was the Cleveland Orchestra. The place was so crowded that we got a Ms. Pac Man machine as a table.

Matthew was in town to sell cassette tapes at his friend's show at the Grog Shop tonight. I know it makes me a grumpy old man to complain about it, but the Grog Shop used to be the name of an establishment that helped to mold my formative adolescent years. It was the size of a small living room, had plywood floors, and the second hand smoke was like a perminant fog machine. They also had the best shows my parents didn't like me going to. For various reasons, they closed that location and moved up the street to a new, clean, fancy and boring space next door to a Chipotle. The new Grog Shop is a lot like a Chipotle that used to be a grimey street-food taco truck actually. Clearly we know which one was better.

My nightstand is looking pretty comically from another time period these days.

For Father's Day, Eric brought home his present. Lily carefully considered her new home. We ate authentic Philadelphia Hoagies for lunch (which seemed like a fancy name for a sub sandwich to me). Then I spent the rest of Father's Day on the highway with my father.

Rita's water ice is supposed to be another big deal Philadelphia thing too.

Lily says to quit playin'
