This is serious. I've been obsessively searching for good ramen ever since going to Shin-Sen-Gumi in LA. I had pretty much given up considering where I live, but the other day I came across the name of a small place I hadn't been to before. Since I'm letting myself eat stuff like soup stocks now, and nothing is better on a cold day than hot soup, we thought today would be a good chance to check it out. It's definitely nothing compared to the endlessly refillable bowls I've been dreaming about, but it's a lot cheaper than a plane ticket to Los Angeles.

So I was given a hot tip from a coworker about an estate sale that was going to have some really awesome Art Nouveau era glasswork for sale. Interested to actually own something that I learned about in art history class, Nicole and I went to go check out this Lalique piece in person. Considering that it would be wise for me to retain both of my kidneys at this stage of my life, I walked away empty handed. Nicole however left with the the spoils of realistically priced interests. We then hopped around to some other estate sales with slightly less refined merchandise. Nicole practiced using her Iceman powers outside, then went shopping for 78 records. I found Nemo (and cast members).

Regarding the picture of Mushroom's science fiction-esque alien tongue, one of the early birthday presents we picked up a few days ago was a macro lens. I'm now capable of taking (somewhat gross) pictures I never thought previously possible. Here's a picture of Nicole's uvula (the thing most people call tonsils, you perverts).

Sometimes the snow is a good thing though. It's been one full year since our cat Mushroom showed up at our back door in the middle of a blizzard. To celebrate, we had a blurry kitten party.

New years resolution #1 stop spending all my money buying things from Craigslist. Tonight we went to go "pick up" my birthday presents in a random bar run by the gentleman above. The guy we bought them from was pretty awesome too, but I didn't want to shove a camera in his face. I'm now (poor and) ultra excited about my family of beautiful glass babies.

I crossed the tomato bisque sea, climbed and defeated grilled cheese mountain, and returned victorious (seriously, guys...that sandwich was huge).

Baby Lily was in town with her parents tonight and we gave her her jackalope from 12-26. It made her cry. Then she decided to accept it for its fuzzy and to chew on its tag. Here are some other highlights.

Wearing a cow and eating the table at dinner. I think she's a little confused as to the roles of the food and the table, but she's quickly learning by stealing people's hot dogs.
Dollhouse home inspection.
Gettin' buff brah.
Pretending to be a kitty and chewing on a catnip bird.
Party all night. Goodnight.

I make stuff. Nicole cuts cilantro, then I eat until I'm in pain.

After a full year of eating strictly vegetarian to see if I felt any healthier, I'm turning it down a notch this year to "not really eating meat most of the time, but having a little sometimes and focusing more on just eating healthy." I quickly blew the "eating healthy" part and went straight for a Mr. Hero cheesesteak. In addition to serving delicious sub sandwiches, I found out that they also supply a wide range of religious deities.

The roof the roof the roof is on fire, we didn't start the fire, burn baby burn...2010 went out with an explosive bang apparently. I don't really know what else to say about New Years Eve party pictures. I think I pretty much just covered everything you would expect. A countdown picture, (a whole night of) champaigne toasts, open container antics, dressed up girls, and pitstains. The only thing missing is kissin' pictures, but I'm too shy to post those.

...and that's it. Picture number three hundred and sixty-five of three hundred and sixty-five. I'm really surprised I made it all the way though the whole year with this many pictures.

They might be melted by tomorrow, but I've been waiting weeks for snowman snow. Nicole is naked in the picture above, here's one with her clothes on. Here's another one just because I'm so excited about snowmen. Really excited.

Here's an inappropriate looking picture of my coworker popping bottles at work today. I can't believe the year is almost over.

Do you remember the commercials where they ate the pizza backwards like that? Advertising works. Nicole and I don't even like Pizza Hut, but we saw a commercial on TV and had to have stuffed crust. Then we started watching this on TV before working some more on the dollhouse (the real one, not the show on TV).
