Childhood Jon looks over my work computer as it Blue Screen of Dies. Happy Monday!

P.s. I'm uploading more cat pictures because I think they're funny.

I woke up this morning and saw something strange on my car. Upon further investigation, the flock of turkey vultures that live in my back yard came back from their seasonal vacation too soon, and got snowed and freezing rained on their backs all last night. The big birds were shivering cold and having a hard time flying (without crashing into cars).

Here are some more since it seems like they're flying again now.

I took way too many pictures today, so I'm going to try and keep this as concise as possible. We woke up way too early on a weekend to get in a car and drive to the tropical paradise of Erie Pennsylvania. First stop was a place called Big Woodie's with digital signage advertising throwing stars, pepper spray, stun guns, and swords in the window. They weren't lying about anything. Especially the swords. It was a bit like being a kid in a candy store...but it was literally a candy store too. I almost bought this knife from this gentleman. Knives are made for cutting things, but luckily Antoinette was already considering bleeding a lot today. Considering this. This is what a tattoo shop looks like in a power outage. The power came back on and stayed on for Joel to draw flowers with his flower machine and Antoinette to bleed some more. Maybe she took a nap. I wandered around with a camera (imagine that). I found tubes and Ben. Woody went to the spa to get his legs shaved, and Victor colored. Yesterday I said Cheeseburger Tour was canceled this weekend, but that was only partially true. This is the Erie Co-Op's cafe, the home of my favorite lentil and nut veggie burger ever anywhere. Ladies eat with their pinkies out. I think this face means Nicole likes it, even if it's not made out of animal. Knives Out the gang. We stayed until night time then it was back in the car with shanks and Shamrock Shakes. The End.

Unfortunately Cheeseburger Tour is canceled this weekend. We'll be doing other stuff so it just wont be possible. To make up for the lack of ritualistically eating a copious amount of meat this weekend, we're eating a copious amount of meat tonight! I think that short of Brazilian barbecue, which is the absolute ultimate in carnivorous decadence, Korean barbecue comes in as a close second. So of course, that's where we're going. Beyond the giant pile of meat that you grill yourself and cut with scissors, I'm really into all the little pickled dishes that they give you on the side. And the garlic. So much garlic. I guess there's a whole technique to how you're supposed to combine the ingredients into a little lettuce wrap/ball/bite. I'm bad at all of that. I just make this then shove it in the gaping hole in my face. I suggest everyone does this as much as possible. I don't know why there aren't more Korean barbecue restaurants all over the place around here. I really think someone should just rename all of those hard to pronounce dishes and make a truck load of money selling this stuff to all the white people in the suburbs. On the topic of renaming things, my blog should really be called I Eat Every Day.

Get your sweet tooth and insulin ready everyone, your glucose level is about to explode. I'm always really into seasonal foods. It's fun to eat fresh ingredients and know that you're having them at their peak time of year. Normally this concept only applies to higher end restaurants, but at this special time of year it applies to the lowest level of fast food in the world. McDonald's. Clovers are apparently in season, so it's time celebrate with electric green, Leprechaun flavored milk shakes. This is pretty much a national holiday to me. Seriously, look at the tubes full of Leprechaun concentrate pumping into that ice cream. Even the Jetsons didn't imagine technology like this. To top it all off, they put a cherry on top now. The last time I got one of these it came in a paper cup and wasn't nearly this flourecent.

Speaking of things topped with cherries, Nicole has gone cupcake crazy. In addition to the same marshmallow vanilla bean cherry ones she made last time, she also made new chocolate s'more with graham cracker bear ones (is that vegetarian?). A landscape of cupcakes fading off into the distance.

I'm sure you don't care about pictures of my cats playing and being crazy, but Nicole and I think they're hilarious, so I'm putting them on here anyway. Sorry if that makes you mad.

Sometimes it drives me absolutely crazy to think that someone somewhere is currently having the best night of their whole entire life while I'm stuck in my house taking pictures of the Night Fury that lives above my TV.*

*This is not to say that I'm not fond of the Night Fury that lives above my TV because I like him a lot.

After a full year and two months of doing this blog nonsense, I don't think that going to eat grilled cheese with friends really requires any kind of explanation any more.

Monday nights are never interesting. Like doing laundry is the most interesting highlight of the evening. I'm still doing my best to make things interesting.

So my mother would be a lot happier if I went to church as often as I went to brunch on Sundays. Too bad for her, I like fancy eggs and coffee much more than sitting on a bench for hours. Did you see that the coffee came with raw sugar? I don't use sugar in my coffee, but it kind of makes me wish that I did. Nicole quickly came up with a solution for what to do with the sugar. Her drink even came with its own sugar already on it. She's also fond of fancy eggs.

I do realize that we go to brunch religiously every Sunday. We kind of do a lot of ritualistic things every weekend like looking at antiques. We do this so much that I end up taking pictures of the same things over and over. Meet Gatspy the antique cat. He's been on my blog before on 2-3-10 and 7-25-10. He really likes me. If I don't pet him enough, he pets me, and if that doesn't work he just yells until he gets his way. Back to the looking. I looked at this little guy, and a pig with a gold tongue while Nicole found a painting that she liked.

Another ritualistic weekend event is Cheeseburger Tour! Did you think we forgot or something? We've been going to the Akron area a lot recently, but today we're back at home base in Clehlann Ohia. Like right in the middle of it to go to Johnny's Little Bar & Grille. It is indeed a bar and it is pretty little. The grille part is responsible for what they call the "best cheeseburger in town." I don't know if I would go that far, but it was very good quality meat, and its simple plainness immediately reminded me of summertime cookouts in a backyard. And at this time of year, I'm pretty much in love with anything at all that makes me not think about winter and snow and being miserable.

We went to Akron today to see an MC Escher exhibition. Photographs were illegal, but here's a cell phone picture Nicole stole 'cause she's too real for gallery rules. It was our favorite thing in the whole show because it had the forest, cats, snakes, wild mushrooms, critters...pretty much everything that we like all at the same time.

Do you ever wonder what really happens in my office? Or where I go for dinner on Friday nights? This is how things really happen.

So the only real reason I broke my phone got the new iPhone is to be able to Facetime with my niece Baby Lily. This is my sister using her phone to show me a picture she took with her camera so I could see it on my phone to take a picture of it with my camera so you can see it now on your computer (or phone). Next level technology exploding your brainz.

p.s. Yes, I am aware that we are Asian.

Cooking show round two! Nicole has a cauldron boiling and sugary cream whipping tonight. Tonight we're baking vanilla bean cupcakes with marshmallow frosting totally from scratch. Cooling a fresh tray of cupcakes out in the snow would be a fine idea at most houses, but not this house. This house has a skunk. A skunk that is apparently attracted to the scent of fresh pastries (and makes my auto focus go crazy). Luckily Nicole is faster than a hungry skunk, so she got the cupcakes back in the house to put the topping on (on her nose that is). Some of it made it onto the cupcakes. !!! The End!

After almost four years of going everywhere and doing everything together, my beloved antique first generation iPhone is retiring today. Really, it's gone part time...meaning it only makes voice calls about 50% of the time and the rest of the time it just makes static. I don't really mind the static, but the people I call don't seem to like it very much. I'm honestly surprised it's lived this long at all. This isn't the first time we've refreshed Apple products. The shot above are just the ones that were easy to get to. This doesn't include my white iPod with the gameboy screen, Nicole's pink iPod mini, or the other iPhone that got jacked at the Met in New York.

In other news, pickles for dinner.

I'm posting about the same thing as yesterday, because I like my picture from today better than the last one. I'm going to go drink scotch now. Bye!
