...at least it's better than snow (until it all freezes).

In other news the Yashica would cost more to fix than replace. I now fear that I may never make a career out of hanging out with celebrities and models or grow ridiculously large sideburns.

I'll go pretty much anywhere and do pretty much anything if for no better reason than the story I can tell the next day. I think exposure to a wide variety of experiences and environments is an important factor in leading a really fulfilled life. That being said, we went to a gun show today, and wow. Unfortunately, they had posted signs banning photography and recording devices, so I only managed to quickly shoot some pictures outside (the gentleman holding the three guns in the doorway actually ratted me out, and I had to talk to a cop right after this shot anyway).

In summary though, the Confederacy is still alive and kicking all the way up north in Ohio (which is strange since they never really made it here during the Civil War), and I definitely saw a tattoo of a distinctly un-American eagle on the back of a shaved head...twice. I learned that for a low six dollar admission price, anyone can easily purchase any gun ever if they have as much cash as the price of an iPod (walking around, we were even offered an AK47 by a kind man who apparently couldn't afford his own booth). And without getting too far into my political views on gun laws, the NRA (who apparently wants to recruit both my wife and I by the way), or anything like that, man...today was definitely an experience.

P.s. Of course there's a "which way to the gun show" joke in here somewhere.

Apparently, we didn't go anywhere today. But I did find this Yashica T4 at a thrift store for five dollars. The coolest part is the "Super Scope" viewfinder on the top of the camera that allows for waist level shooting like a TLR. Unfortunately, it needs some service before I can use it. But seeing how they can sell for around $250 used online, I think it will still be a pretty good deal even after getting it fixed. Hopefully it won't cost too much before I can start taking pictures like Terry Richardson.

In China, they just call it New Years.

Every year my dad makes this "hot pot" to celebrate the new year. I'm still eating vegetarian, so he was nice enough to get a pot with a divider so I could cook vegetables and tofu on one side.

I don't always totally hate Cleveland.

I've liked this part of driving on the freeway ever since I was a little kid. Some places here are kind of special (like Melt).

I shot some more Leica pictures around Cleveland today too.

Marc's office is a treasure trove of hidden awesome.

In contrast, this is my only office collection. Which means 1) I drink a lot of water and 2) I need to clean my desk more often.
