
I woke up before the 
sun to go fly fishing for 
Steelhead trout today.  Capitalizing on another annual migratory behaviour, steelhead instinctive come into the rivers and streams from the lake to lay their eggs this time every year (a lot like salmon).  They're huge fish (about a foot and a half on average), and it's really cool seeing them in such shallow water.  Those fish weren't nearly big enough for me though, so I caught this 
massive beast.  Note the size of the flies in both pictures for scale.
The 
sun went to bed before I did too.
